Sally Jean Saxe-Cells-Cevilkewich,79 years old died Monday April 15, 2024. She was born on July 21, 1944 in Point Pleasant New Jersey to the late Robert J. Saxe Jr. and Alma Mae Saxe.
Sally was a homemaker, wife and mother to 3 children. She learned the truth from her father. At the age of 13, She accompanied her father to his baptism in 1958 at International Convention at Yankee Stadium in New York. She went to college to teach special needs children and later on met Charlie Cells Sr. at a job. They got married on March 27, 1965 and started their family.
She called the Kingdom Hall for a Bible study soon after they moved into the house they bought in Hazlet, NJ. Sister Berit Nelson lived two houses away who studied with her. Sally got baptized as one of Jehovah's Witnesses on October 16, 1971.
They attended Keyport Congregation then Hazlet, Forked River now Bayville congregation. They entertained many circuit overseers and Bethelites. She aided several individuals into the truth. Sally taught and studied with her 3 children starting with the Paradise Lost to Paradise Regained book and the Great Teacher book, to the bookstudy publications , The Babylon the Great book and so forth.
Sally loved the ocean. She said it made her feel peaceful and calm. She also loved swimming in her pool and entertaining the friends. She loved animals especially her Chow Chows dogs.
She is predeceased by her husband Charles W. Cevilkewich. She is survived by her 3 children: Charles and Melinda Cells of Danville, VA; Karen Cells of Landis, NC; Daniel and Kellie Cevilkewich of Bayville, NJ; also 3 brothers: John and Toni Saxe, niece Jessica Saxe of Brick, NJ; James Saxe of Toms River, NJ; Robert Saxe III of Weeki Wachee, Florida. 2 Grandchildren: Giovanni and Hannah Perez and Jeremy Perez and nieces and nephews.
